Diversity affects us all

Diversity affects us all

The KHSB is a university of diversity - open to all. For us, respect for diversity is fundamental to a lively, enriching and future-orientated learning environment. A sustainable diversity strategy forms the basis for an inclusive and innovative university culture. Our aim is to promote diversity in all areas and in all member groups and thus to create an open community that offers everyone equal opportunities and scope for development.

Diversity strategy working group

Since July 2023, a diversity strategy working group has been working together to develop an innovative strategy to make the KHSB a diverse place for all people. This process was (initially) completed in July 2025. The Academic Senate adopted the diversity strategy at its meeting on 16 July 2025.

The process of developing a diversity strategy was only the first step on the way to making our university more diverse. In the winter semester, a coordination and steering group will develop and propose measures for the further development of the university in the area of diversity based on the strategy and support its implementation. We look forward to travelling this path together with all of you - students and staff.

Respect for diversity is of great importance to our university because it is the basis for justice, participation and professional behaviour in the social sector and in society.
