Social work as a human rights profession
The continuing education Master of Social Work - Social Work as a Human Rights Profession (MRMA) qualifies students for the implementation of human rights issues in practice, teaching and research. The degree programme is a cooperation between the Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin (ASH), the Evangelische Hochschule Berlin (EHB), the Katholische Hochschule für Sozialwesen Berlin (KHSB) and the German Institute for Human Rights Berlin.
The degree programme will provide you with the skills to deal with the transnationalisation of social problems. You will be able to contribute to the anchoring of human rights in teaching, in domestic and/or foreign practical projects and in your own organisation. The degree is obtained through a part-time, four-semester programme followed by a Master's thesis.
Our quality promise
The degree programme is continuously accredited by an external panel of experts: For the first time in 2005 by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency Hanover (ZEvA). The programme was last re-accredited by the Accreditation Council Foundation in 2023.
