Projects

Research at the KHSB is diverse, practical and collaborative. At our university, research is conducted in a variety of thematic orientations and formats. Both our academicsand students are actively involved in research projects. Many of our projects are made possible by funding from public programmes.

Research projects at the KHSB demonstrate a variety of methodological approaches and theoretical perspectives. Our research is empirical or an examination of the theoretical foundations of the SAGE disciplines or related sciences, such as educational science, psychology and sociology. Our scientific findings are incorporated into teaching and transfer. Student projects from research seminars also characterise the research profile of the KHSB.

Cooperations with universities of applied sciences (HAW) and universities expand the research work in the network. The KHSB also works closely with partners in practice: youth welfare offices, hospitals, family centres and independent social work providers. These partnerships form the basis of our application-oriented research. Our academics conduct research regionally, nationally and internationally.
