Further education programme in practical religious education
Religion gives food for thought - The continuing education programme teaches theological principles and demonstrates methodological and didactic design options for religious education in schools.
Participants reflect on, deepen and update their own approach to religious questions through this programme.
Note: The next continuing education course is expected to start in October 2025. If you are interested, please contact Prof. Dr Christine Funk by email.
What makes the degree programme special
You find religion and faith important and would like to contribute to educating pupils with a broad horizon at school by ..
- talking to children and young people about the existential questions of life and encouraging them to formulate their own answers and find orientation in our pluralistic world from the Christian faith,
providing information about the content of religions and entering into dialogue with pupils about their existential relevance,
- Enable pupils to meet people of other religions with tolerance and enter into dialogue with them on questions of faith,
- Enable pupils to make a personal decision with regard to religion and faith,
- especially as a class teacher at a Catholic school, familiarise your pupils with forms of lived faith in the annual cycle.
