The Catholic University of Applied Sciences Berlin (KHSB) endeavours to make its website accessible. The declaration on digital accessibility is required by the Act on Accessible Information and Communication Technology Berlin ). The technical requirements for accessibility are set out in the ordinance on the creation of accessible information technology in accordance with the Disability Equality Act.

The declaration on digital accessibility refers to the central website

This website is largely compliant with the BITV. During the design and reprogramming in 2024/2025, "good accessibility" was taken into account. The KHSB uses the external assistance software of the service provider as a visual aid to improve the accessibility of the website. This software allows users to customise the website in terms of font size and colour contrasts. "Plain language" is anchored in the basic structure of the language selection. Key content on the site is to be successively made available in "plain language".

Some content on the website is not yet accessible. This applies in particular to

• PDF documents: Older and some current PDF documents are not fully accessible. For example, there are no structured headings, alternative texts or consistent navigation.
• Images, graphics and diagrams: Complex visual content is sometimes not sufficiently described in text.

The KHSB is continuously working on eliminating these barriers and gradually making its content accessible.
